The City of Alliance has a rich history over 150 years in the making. Formed by the union of a few small settlements and the junction of major railroads, this community quickly grew and began flourishing, creating a foundation for the industrial base that has become the backbone for the businesses in Alliance.

Having been dubbed the “crane capital of the world”, thanks to the manufacture of overhead cranes by Morgan Engineering, Alliance has also become home to numerous major companies including Coastal Pet Products, PTC Alliance, MAC Trailer Manufacturing, Sun America, Trilogy Plastics, Winkle Industries, and more. In fact, the business sector bursts at the seams with other manufacturers and suppliers from plumbing and heating to metals and plastics. Diversity, along with skilled workforces and low overhead cost of doing business, has become a tremendous draw to further entrepreneurship.

Beyond the incredible economic opportunities in Alliance, this is for all intents and purposes, a “College Town” being home to the University of Mount Union and within a 50-mile radius of 7 other colleges and universities.
